Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis II – Indian Cuisine to join our kitchen team in Thane. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing Vegetarian Maharashtrian, South Indian, and Indian cuisine, while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Vegetarian Maharashtrian, South Indian, and Indian dishes as per standard recipes.
• Assist in daily food preparation and mise en place activities.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Monitor and properly store ingredients and food items.
• Support senior chefs during kitchen operations and service hours.
• Adhere to portion control and waste management guidelines.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Commis Chef, Cook, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Vegetarian Maharashtrian cuisine.
• Experience in South Indian cuisine preparation.
• Good understanding of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
