Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commis Chef role based in Bhubaneswar, focusing on Continental and Western cuisine. The Commis Chef will assist senior chefs in day-to-day kitchen operations, including preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to recipes, and plating food to company standards. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following hygiene and safety protocols, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. The role also involves supporting mise en place, assisting with menu preparation, handling basic baking or dessert tasks as required, and communicating effectively with the kitchen team during service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills, with a focus on Continental and Western cuisine.
- Candidates should possess solid Culinary Skills to follow recipes, assist with menu execution, and support plating standards.
- Candidates should possess good Hygiene practices, including knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen cleanliness.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with chefs and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Formal culinary training or a diploma/certificate in culinary arts is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
