Role Description

The Commis 1 role at ENJI'S is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role involves assisting in daily kitchen operations, including preparing ingredients, executing basic cooking tasks, and supporting the production of café offerings under the guidance of senior chefs. The Commis 1 is responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring workstations are clean, organized, and adequately stocked. The role also includes collaborating with team members to ensure timely service, consistent food quality, and smooth coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. A focus on learning, following recipes, and improving culinary techniques is central to this position.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational skills in Food Preparation and Cooking, with a passion for developing advanced Culinary Skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of Hygiene and food safety in all kitchen activities.
• Effective Communication skills for coordinating with kitchen colleagues and front-of-house teams.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, with attention to detail and consistency.
• Relevant experience in a professional kitchen, café, or bakery environment is preferred.
• Capability to work on-site in Gurugram in a fast-paced setting, including weekends and peak hours.
• Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn from senior kitchen staff and grow within the brand.
