Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commi I, based in Berhampore. The Commi I is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in cooking dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. The role involves following the guidance of the head chef and senior kitchen staff to meet culinary standards, plating dishes, and ensuring the highest quality presentation. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, compliance with food safety regulations, and collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver excellent dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and guidelines provided by senior chefs
  • Team collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Good time and task management skills to adhere to service schedules
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen is preferred
  • Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus
