Job Description

We are seeking a Commi I Continental Chef for a full-time on-site role based in Bengaluru. The chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of continental dishes, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and ensuring excellent food quality. Daily tasks include assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring kitchen cleanliness and organization. The role requires effective communication with kitchen staff and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Job Roles and Responsibility

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook dishes from the continental menu (e.g., Italian, French, Spanish cuisine).
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Assist in prepping ingredients: cutting vegetables, marinating, portioning meats, etc.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared.

2. Station Management

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the continental section.
  • Report low stock items and assist in stock rotation.

3. Hygiene & Safety

  • Follow hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP or local regulations).
  • Ensure all food is stored and prepared at the correct temperatures.
  • Clean kitchen equipment and working area regularly.

4. Team Support

  • Work closely with Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist other sections during busy hours if needed.
  • Accept feedback and improve based on instructions.

5. Learning & Development

  • Learn new recipes and cooking techniques from senior chefs.
  • Stay updated on new trends in continental cuisine.
  • Take part in training sessions or kitchen meetings.
