About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commercial Structuring Manager to drive financial and commercial excellence in solar EPC projects. The role involves structuring complex deals, managing financial risks, and ensuring robust commercial frameworks across projects.

Key Responsibilities:  

Commercial Structuring & Deal Finalization

  • Structure bespoke commercial models for solar EPC projects, including defining project milestones and payment terms. 
  • Collaborate with Sales and Projects teams to finalize commercially viable deal structures. 
  • Ensure alignment of commercial terms with organizational profitability and risk appetite. 

Credit Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Evaluate payer-side credit risk for clients (C&I, government, and institutional). 
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies such as payment securities, guarantees, and escrow mechanisms. 
  • Work closely with finance leadership to ensure adherence to industry best practices.

Supplier Commercials & Contract Management

  • Support procurement and projects teams in finalizing supplier commercials, including pricing, payment terms, and warranties. 
  • Review contractual obligations to ensure financial and operational safeguards. 
  • Monitor compliance with agreed commercial and contractual terms. 

Cash Flow Management & Financial Monitoring

  • Track project-level cash flows from a commercial and finance perspective. 
  • Identify potential cash flow gaps and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Ensure timely billing, collections, and working capital optimization.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Project Management teams. 
  • Provide commercial insights to support business growth and execution efficiency.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance, Strategy, or Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Candidates from other relevant educational backgrounds may also be considered based on experience.

Work Experience:
  • 11–12 years of experience in structuring medium to large-scale infrastructure project deals.
  • Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC industry preferred.
  • Exposure to deal structuring, contract negotiations, and credit risk analysis is essential.
