Job Description

  • Oversee the financial performance of large CAPEX projects, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and company policies.
  • Support project teams by providing financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Project Manager should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience in managing financial aspects of projects within the manufacturing Industry or a related field.
  • Has dealt with large greenfield CAPEX projects managing costs, budgets, regulatory compliances and cross functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large and complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to project management.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the industrial/manufacturing sectors.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating financial risks.
