Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the commercial management of all customer orders for the MEA region.
  • Support the sales team in handling all commercial matters, ensuring the fulfilment of contracts.
  • Manage negotiations and handle disputes with both customers and suppliers.
  • Assure compliance with the Operational Risk Management Directive (ORM) and other internal/external regulations related to customer orders.
  • Develop and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Agency Agreements, framework contracts, and other relevant legal documents in collaboration with specialist departments or external lawyers.
  • Assist the Fulfilment and Finance departments in managing project controlling, accounts receivable, contract management, and claim management.

Trade Finance:

  • Independently handle Merchanting Trade Transactions (MTT) and Project Export Applications (PEM), including bank reporting and coordination with the related departments (e.g., Accounting, Project Management, Logistics).
  • Manage daily trade finance matters such as Letters of Credit (LCs), guarantees, payment securities, and import licenses, ensuring compliance with contracts and LCs.
  • Collaborate with Export Credit Agencies (ECAs) to manage risk and provide coverage (e.g., ECGC).
  • Ensure timely processing and monitoring of international payment transactions in foreign trade.
  • Ensure adherence to group guidelines as well as local Indian regulatory frameworks (e.g., RBI) for all payment applications and documentation.
  • Act as the Regional Process Owner for all trade finance-related matters.

Treasury & Foreign Exchange Management:

  • Manage FX exposure by coordinating hedging activities with Corporate Treasury, ensuring proper management of inflows and outflows, including intercompany transactions.
  • Work with local Indian banks to manage project-related financial inflows and outflows.

General Responsibilities & Compliance:

  • Ensure the fulfilment of internal and external compliance requirements in all business transactions.
  • Be actively and early involved in sales and quotation activities, ensuring compliance with commercial and financial guidelines.
  • Represent the company positively with both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong business relationships.
