The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated Finance & Commercial person. This is a foundational roleyou'll set up financial systems, manage commercial operations, and work directly with leadership on everything from pricing strategy to compliance. If you want ownership and impact from day one, this is it.
What You'll Do
Finance & Accounting
- Manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Handle invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow management
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, ROC filings)
- Build and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting
Commercial Operations
- Own the commercial side of customer relationshipscontracts, renewals, collections
- Support pricing decisions and subscription/licensing structures
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Track unit economics and customer metrics (ARR, churn, LTV)
- Work with leadership on fundraising preparation when needed
Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (Companies Act, tax laws, data protection)
- Set up and improve internal financial processes and controls
- Liaise with banks, payment gateways, and financial service providers
What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or commercial roles
- Strong fundamentals in accounting (CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred but not mandatory)
- Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian corporate compliance requirements
- Experience in a startup or small company where you wore multiple hats
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
- Clear communicator who can work across teams

- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or B2B subscription businesses
- Familiarity with startup fundraising and investor reporting
