Manager – Commercial Excellence and Contract Management

Location: Mumbai| Function: Finance and Accounts | Reports to: Lead - Commercial Excellence and Contract Management

Purpose

The role is responsible for supporting through budget monitoring, cost tracking, reporting, and process coordination, ensuring accurate financial control, timely reporting, and effective management of production-related commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Show Closure & Cost Tracking: Manage and track financial closure of shows. Track actuals vs budgets and monitor overruns. Identify and validate approvals.
• Reporting & Review Decks: Provide inputs for Greenlighting (GL) review decks to provide visibility on cost performance, approvals, and key trends. Monitor fund loading in systems against approved budgets, ensuring timely and accurate recording of expenditures.
• Costing & Commercial Inputs: Prepare Fixed Programming Chart based on inputs received from Business. Support cost estimation and planning
• Financial Review & Reconciliation: Review flash numbers and provisions, ensure accuracy in reporting. Track YTD spend vs budget/forecast, reconcile variances, and project year‑end overrun/savings.
• Systems & Process Support: Support P2P transformation, system rollouts, and BRD development as a finance SME driving workflow alignment and adoption.
• Tracking & Audit Documentation: Maintain real-time tracking of GL-approved shows while ensuring complete and timely audit trail through documented communications.
• Data Analysis and Business Support: Provide timely financial data and deliver actionable insights through trend and variance analysis.

Critical Competencies

• Financial analysis and budgeting expertise with strong data handling and reporting capabilities
• High attention to detail ensuring accuracy and reliability of outputs
• Effective stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong analytical thinking with a clear understanding of financial and operational processes

Technical Competencies

• MBA/MCom preferred
• Experience – 10 years
• Media/ Production Industry experience preferred
• Understanding of P2P and expense management processes
