Head of Customer Excellence for VARIAN CEECA Zone

This position is to be based in Hungary or Romania or Poland.

Reporting directly to the Zone Head of Varian CEECA (Central Eastern Europe Central Asia), this senior role is responsible for driving initiatives that improve commercial excellence, efficiencies, and effectiveness across the whole zone. The incumbent will work with Varian and Siemens Healthineers country and function heads to establish governance, enhance sales tools and drive the commercial excellence across the zone.

Responsibilities

Sales Operations Excellence

  • Work with local sales and finance teams to create and manage accurate forecasts and business analytics for commercial leaders in CEECA.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the sales process, and provide recommendations and execution plans to reduce or eliminate these boundaries.
  • Increase sales productivity by simplifying processes and further enhancing sales automation tools.
  • Optimize lead qualifications and support monitoring the execution of sales potentials with countries.
  • Further optimize the design of analytic programs/dashboards to provide business insights to sales leaders, supporting and continuously driving data-driven decisions.
  • Support and drive strategical initiatives including Key account management, global company strategy, support CEECA countries in introduction new products and solutions etc.
  • Establish and drive learning and exchange with other zones globally

Sales Force Excellence

  • Roll out training programs to onboard new sales colleagues and support developing the existing sales team (direct and indirect teams)
  • Support and update/monitor annual incentive programs and special incentive schemes to boost additional sales.
  • Initiate new projects that will enable local teams to execute the company's strategies and goals in the CEECA region.

Project Management

  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to Project Managers to enhance performance
  • Support and drive resource allocation and workload balancing across the PM team
  • Represent the Project Management team in strategic discussions and planning sessions
  • Provide accurate and timely updates to senior management on overall project status to ensure forecast quality
  • Introduce structured and efficient processes to manage complexity in deliveries, monitor and drive revenue recognition
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in sales operations, business development or medical technology/radiotherapy related project management.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people, make decisions, and voice opinions or perspectives with colleagues up to the top levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute productive operational strategies in challenging market environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling and creative business cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and execute complex business strategies.
  • Consultancy background in business planning and transformation is a bonus.
