Job Description

Who is Commercial Digital Lead and the Key Responsibilities

  • The Commercial Digital Lead (CDL) focuses on delivering Digital Tools required by Commercial Functions including Sales, Demand Generation, Marketing, Agronomy, New Commercialization.
  • CDL needs to ensure that a proper & responsive Client Servicing mechanisms, Managing Expectations, with Proper Proactive Communication, sharing Reports, taking feedback, proactive monitoring etc. to
  • CDL has to hold a regular Cadence of Run and Maintenance and Feedback Mechanisms again along with Business Process Owners find out red flags & prepare an Issue Closure Reports and Business Sign Offs about the Tool stability and Performance with Turn Around Time (TAT)
  • Down time Management - Proactive planning of OS upgrade / Patch upgrade, red flags / Alerts from Vendor/System for each application to avoid disruption and ensure Business Continuity
  • The CDL must build a productive relationship between Commercial Digital Function and the Business Process Owners in South Asia. Business Process Owners will be from the above-mentioned Commercial Functions who would be requiring the Tools and hence investing in them.
  • CDL must create Professional Business Cases (BRD, PRD, SOWs, SLAs) for all the Significant Digital Tools initiatives.
  • CDL must have a Proactive and Collaborative Approach on Solutioning and Co Creating Tools along with Business Process Owners forming a Workstream approach.
  • The CDL must work with Business Process Owners to Create Digital Plan & Digital Budget Requirements by Year, by Quarter & work with procurement to release POs timely and keep the Budget Vs Actual Dashboard for the month by Business Process Owner a live Report.
  • In Addition, CDL will have to prepare Digital Portfolio Plan by Year as the New Tools Come in.
  • CDL needs to to do quarterly Surveys to check adoption and utility of specific Tools along with Field Users.
  • CDL will also have to develop mechanisms to create, Digital Tools ROI/Impact/Adoption Score to understand the overall Returns from Digital Initiatives
  • Tool Prioritization while in case of high demand/urgency
  • The CDL has to have the knowledge of ever evolving Technological Landscape in Commercial Digital Tools & as a strategic partner also propose the Business Process Owners of what New Digital Initiatives possibilities exist beyond the Internal Requirements and have space for POCs and Pilots to Enable Commercial Functions and Partner in technology leadership.
  • CDL has to keep auditing the need for tech stack upgradation based on benchmark , speed bandwith , License & Service supports etc.
  • CDL needs to create a Digital Strategy Document constituting, New Initiatives, Portfolio Management, Platform & Ecosystem Initiatives, Storage, Data Management, Build/Buy/Create Choices , Data Privacy and more .
  • CDL will be working with Strategic Partners (Digital Agencies) to deliver all the above.
  • CDL will also work with APAC IT to ensure security protocols & Data Privacy elements and other IT Protocols and guidance.
  • CDL needs to understand the processes, plans, objectives, drivers, and issues related to the business area together with appropriate external policies and regulations.
  • CDL strengthens collaboration and drive a culture of creativity, innovation, and shared ownership across the enterprise and ensures Digital Tools, capabilities, and services achieve value-driven business outcomes.

Qualifications - External

Job Qualification

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of IT/Digital and business experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility
  • 3+ working experience in business relationship management or IT/Digital business partner
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written including presentation
  • Good strategic thinking and interpersonal skills to build relationships with business leaders and address business needs with technology
  • Proven track record in driving business strategy with technology innovation
  • Good business savvy and financial acumen on business process and creating value case
  • Familiar with IT/Digital portfolio management and good understanding on IT/Digital technologies
  • Experience to work in multinational companies with people from diversified culture and background inside and outside of APAC region
  • Familiarity with farming and/or agriculture strongly preferred, but not required
