Job Description

Job Title: Global Commercial Data Analyst

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Type: Full Time

Our client is looking for a Global Commercial Data Analyst Enablement function, focusing on maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of commercial data across multiple business systems. This role will be pivotal in managing sales data governance, ensuring proper account and contact structures, and supporting territory alignment and lead distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Coverage & Territory Management

  • Take ownership of data that maps sales teams to customers, products, and geographic regions
  • Manage annual updates to reflect changes in territories, roles, and customer coverage strategies
  • Evaluate how updates impact performance tracking, reporting, and sales targets
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to incorrect sales assignments affecting business operations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and prevent recurring data issues

Sales Matrix Setup & Maintenance (SAP)

  • Maintain structured datasets defining account ownership, product assignments, and territory hierarchies
  • Prepare year-end updates in collaboration with sales leadership, covering account classifications, segmentation, and role changes
  • Assess how historical data adjustments influence quotas and targets
  • Coordinate updates with Master Data teams and validate system alignment across SAP and CRM platforms
  • Support ongoing updates for employee movements, territory changes, and new hires

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of customer records across systems
  • Perform regular audits to identify and correct incomplete or inconsistent data
  • Manage structured processes for tracking and resolving data issues
  • Collaborate with data governance and IT teams to address systemic challenges
  • Monitor key attributes such as segmentation, classification, and hierarchy structures

Reporting & Data Cleansing

  • Generate weekly reports on new customer accounts and track pending updates
  • Communicate account status updates to sales and leadership teams
  • Conduct daily data validation and cleansing activities to maintain high-quality datasets
  • Manage internal tools used for tracking data changes and governance workflows

Lead Assignment Management

  • Design and refine lead routing rules to ensure efficient distribution to the right stakeholders
  • Document and standardize processes for improved transparency and consistency
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to streamline lead handling
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual effort

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity across enterprise systems
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and familiarity with SAP ERP
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams such as Sales, Marketing, IT, and Finance
  • Knowledge of implementing and enforcing data governance standards
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities to address complex data issues
  • Experience in process optimization and documentation
  • Effective communication skills to convey insights to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in tools such as SAP, Salesforce, Excel, Power BI, BW, or similar platforms
