Join our Currencies Emerging Markets Trading team in a high-impact role focused on building product capabilities, developing the franchise, and driving trading activities across EM Asia Rates, FX, and Credits.

This is a unique opportunity for a self-driven individual to operate independently within the trading team. The role requires a combination of trading acumen, product development capability, and strong stakeholder management across Sales, Risk, Compliance, and regulators.

As a Vice President / Associate, you will take ownership of developing and enhancing the branch's macro product suite, while actively participating in market execution and risk management. You will play a central role in bridging front-office trading, internal control functions, and external stakeholders to support the growth and sustainability of the franchise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate independently on the trading desk, contributing to market-making, risk management, and client coverage across EM Asia Rates, FX, and Credits.
  • Execute trades and manage day-to-day market activities, ensuring disciplined risk management and adherence to trading limits.
  • Lead the development and expansion of macro product offerings, including Rates, FX, and Credit solutions, to strengthen the branch's capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Drive end-to-end product development, working closely with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Business Management to ensure appropriate governance and infrastructure is in place.
  • Engage regularly with regulators to support product approvals, ensure regulatory alignment, and resolve day-to-day operational matters impacting the trading business.
  • Partner closely with Sales to build and grow the franchise, identifying client needs, developing relevant solutions, and enhancing market positioning.
  • Support trade capture, P&L validation, and post-trade processes, ensuring accuracy and control.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while balancing revenue generation and risk discipline.
  • Collaborate with regional trading desks and global teams to share insights and align on strategy.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in financial markets, with hands-on exposure to trading EM Asia Rates, FX, or Credits.
  • Proven ability or strong experience in developing macro products, including navigating internal approval processes and working with control functions.
  • Ability to operate independently in a trading environment, with sound judgment and ownership mindset.
  • Solid trading and execution skills, with understanding of market liquidity, pricing, and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomic drivers and global financial markets.
  • Experience interacting with regulators or strong familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to trading and product governance.
  • Proficiency in market terminology, products, and transaction lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage internal stakeholders and clients effectively.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Sales to originate flows and build client franchises.
  • Prior experience in a lean trading setup or a build-out environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of fixed income analytics, pricing, and risk frameworks.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated approach to building business capabilities.
