Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collections Officer role based in Delhi, India. The Collections Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts, contacting customers via phone and in person, and negotiating repayment plans in line with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves monitoring delinquency reports, analyzing account histories, and updating collection status in internal systems with accurate documentation. The Collections Officer will collaborate with branch staff and other internal teams to resolve customer issues, ensure timely payments, and minimize credit losses. The role also includes adhering to compliance and ethical standards, maintaining professional customer interactions, and providing feedback on recurring issues to improve collection processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection skills, including negotiation, follow-up, and familiarity with collection processes and regulations.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret delinquency data, assess risk, and recommend appropriate collection actions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service capabilities to handle queries, address concerns, and maintain professional relationships.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Finance concepts related to loans, credit, and repayment structures.
- Relevant experience in banking, NBFCs, or financial services collections is preferred.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum educational qualification: graduate degree in any discipline; a degree in commerce, finance, or business is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local language(s) and regional market dynamics in Delhi will be beneficial.
