Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collection Specialist role based in Gurugram. The Collection Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing timely debt and cash collection activities from clients and counterparties, ensuring payments are received in line with contractual terms. The role includes monitoring outstanding balances, following up on overdue accounts through calls and emails, and maintaining accurate records of all collection efforts and payment arrangements. The Collection Specialist will collaborate with finance and operations teams to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary. The position also involves handling customer queries professionally, supporting the improvement of collection processes, and contributing to healthy cash flow and financial discipline for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong debt collection and cash collection skills, with experience in managing overdue accounts and negotiating payment plans.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication and customer service skills to handle client interactions, resolve issues, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of finance principles, including account reconciliation and basic financial documentation.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with spreadsheets or accounting/ERP tools.
  • Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with prior experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable (experience in energy or infrastructure sectors is an advantage).
  • Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage high volumes of transactions, and meet deadlines while upholding ethical and compliance standards.
