Description
We are seeking an experienced Collection Manager to lead our collections team and drive effective collection strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to improve cash flow while maintaining customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement collection strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize overdue accounts.
- Manage a team of collection agents, providing training and guidance to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Analyze collection reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with customers and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and collection efforts in the database.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to address customer issues and disputes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to collections.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-12 years of experience in collections or credit management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of collection laws and regulations in India.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyze data and create reports to inform decision-making.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
