Position Title: Collection Analyst

Work Arrangement: Remote - India

About The Role

Our Credit Risk team is growing and we're looking for a Collections Analyst to join the team in a highly critical role. By utilising your strong analytical background, you'll be assisting organization's in expanding our use of data to make optimised decisions across our collections and arrears management activities.

With a particular focus on reviewing, analysing and reporting on arrears performance, collections strategy effectiveness and customer hardship outcomes, you'll be leveraging your strong data visualisation and manipulation skills to help achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the wider Credit Risk and Operations teams on the continual improvement of collections and arrears management strategies using data and analytics
  • Maintain and improve a suite of comprehensive collections reports and
  • dashboards for senior management in order to support business objectives
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of collections segmentation models,
  • hardship identification tools, and contact strategy optimisation frameworks
  • Monitor and analyse portfolio arrears trends, roll rates, cure rates and recovery
  • performance to identify emerging risks and opportunities
  • Review and update collections policies and procedures to ensure alignment with
  • evolving regulatory requirements, including compliance with NCCP and ASIC
  • guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of collections strategies,
  • decisioning logic, and actions taken
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, analytics, AI and regulatory changes impacting collections and debt management practices

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • Tertiary qualification in a Technical, analytical or mathematical discipline or equivalent
  • Ideally some experience in a similar collections, arrears management, Hardship or credit risk role within the financial services industry, telco or utilities
  • Good knowledge of collections operations, debt recovery processes and/or quantitative analytical skills such as roll rate analysis, vintage analysis and scorecard development
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to collections, including responsible lending obligations, debt collections guidelines and hardship provisions
  • Experience with data manipulation and data visualisation tools such as SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, R or Python
  • Familiarity with the Australian regulatory environment for consumer lending and collections advantageous
