Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Collateral Management Analyst to join our Middle Office Solutions team. In this role, you will play a key part in the daily operations of our clients portfolios, focusing on collateral management and trade settlement. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of trades and payments while maintaining excellent communication with clients and counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collateral & Payment Processing:
  • Coordinate the month-end collateral interest process between counterparties.
  • Instruct collateral and treasury transfer payments using SWIFT.
  • Prepare expense payments within the xeo Treasury system.
  • Agree upon and process over-the-counter (OTC) payments on behalf of clients.
  • Trade Settlement & Reconciliation:
  • Review vendor platforms (such as Omgeo CTM, Traiana, Markit Trade Manager), Prime Broker (PB) matching portals, and recaps on Trade Date.
  • Be responsible for listed securities settlements via Prime Broker platforms, ensuring trades are pre-matched and settle correctly between the counterparty and PB.
  • Handle the review, exception processing, and break escalation/resolution for trades, followed by the affirm/confirm process between the client and executing counterparty.
  • Team & Client Interaction:
  • Work with internal stakeholders and clients in a professional manner to resolve any open issues.
  • Assist with the training and development of junior team members.
  • May work on special projects as needed to support team objectives.

About You

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative subject.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of various fund types is beneficial.
  • Skills:
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-focused with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team.
  • Adaptive and flexible professional style, comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients and counterparties via email and phone.
  • Experience (Beneficial but not essential):
  • Exposure to a cash settlements role.
  • Experience with ISDA Bi-Lateral agreements and the collateral process.
  • Exposure to financial instruments like equities, bonds, equity swaps, FX, futures, and OTC products
