Job Title: Power BI Developer / BI Migration Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the migration of existing IBM Cognos BI reports to Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, converting, and optimizing reports while ensuring data accuracy and performance.

The candidate should be capable of working independently as well as leading the migration team, driving the end-to-end migration process, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality Power BI solutions.

This is a full-time, remote-based role with office base locations in Chennai

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing IBM Cognos reports and plan migration to Power BI.

Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports.

Lead and coordinate the BI migration team to ensure timely delivery.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance during migration.

Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions.

Perform testing, validation, and reconciliation of migrated reports.

Optimize data models, queries, and report performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues.

Document migration processes, report logic, and technical specifications.

Shape Required Skills :

Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI development.

Working knowledge of IBM Cognos BI.

Experience in BI report migration projects.

Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.

Ability to work independently and lead a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in data warehousing and ETL concepts.

Knowledge of Oracle or other relational databases.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience in Banking/BFSI domain is an added advantage.

Relevant Experience Preferred

Experience migrating Cognos reports to Power BI.

Experience leading BI migration or reporting teams.

Experience building interactive dashboards and data visualizations.

Experience ensuring data validation and reporting accuracy.

Any degree equivalent to IT or relevant
