Key Responsibilities
- Hypervisor & Container PoC Leadership (Primary Focus)
- Multi-Platform Demos: Design and execute complex PoCs that showcase Hitachi storage integration across VMware, SUSE Virtualization, Kubernetes (K8s), Rancher, OpenShift, OpenStack, Platform9, and Proxmox.
- Modern App Validation: Build and maintain Gold Standard lab environments to demonstrate high-performance storage delivery for containerized and virtualized workloads.
- Driver & Plugin Mastery: Act as the subject matter expert for Hitachi storage plugins and CSI drivers, ensuring optimized connectivity for Block, File, Object, and SDS portfolios.
- Public & Hybrid Cloud Integration
- Hyperscaler Expertise: Lead the integration and demonstration of Hitachi storage solutions within AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Hands-on Configuration: Lead the installation and tuning of storage resources within modern stacks, including Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI) and multi-cloud architectures.
- SDS & AI Synergy: Deploy and optimize Software-Defined Storage (SDS) and AI platform storage backends to support high-availability and high-throughput requirements for modern applications.
- Hybrid Cloud Architecture: Demonstrate Edge-to-Core-to-Cloud workflows, ensuring data mobility and persistent storage across disparate hypervisor and public cloud environments.
- Automation & Deployment
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Ansible, Terraform, and Python to automate the deployment of virtualized, containerized, and cloud-native environments for rapid PoC scaling.
- Custom Scripting: Develop JavaScript and Shell scripts to bridge management gaps between Hitachi software and third-party orchestration platforms.
- Technical Evangelism & Content
- Charismatic Speaking: Present complex infrastructure integrations at large-scale industry events and executive briefings, enchanting audiences with the simplicity and power of our modern app integrations.
- Creative Production: Use Blender, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects to produce high-end 3D renders, video walkthroughs, and technical diagrams that visualize abstract hybrid-cloud concepts.
Required Education & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent high-level professional experience).
- Preferred Certifications: VMware VCP/VCAP, SUSE Certified Administrator (Rancher), Red Hat Certified Specialist (OpenShift), CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect.
Technical Experience
- 7+ Years in Systems Engineering or Storage Architecture with a heavy focus on Hypervisors, Virtualization, and Cloud.
- Deep Hands-on Expertise: Proven experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, SUSE Virtualization, Rancher, Proxmox, OpenStack, and Platform9.
- Storage Integration: Expert knowledge of CSI drivers, VAAI/VVols, and storage plugins for Block, File, and Object platforms.
- Automation Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
Creative & Communication Experience
- Public Speaking: A proven track record of enchanting audiences at scale and performing live technical demonstrations.
- Creative Portfolio: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Blender to create professional-grade technical content.
