Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Cochlear Implant Audiologist, primarily based at the Asha Speech and Hearing Clinic location in Rajinder Nagsr , New Delhi, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as documentation and teleconsultations. The Cochlear Implant Audiologist will conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, and pre-implant counseling for individuals and families. Daily responsibilities include device programming (mapping), activation, and fine-tuning of cochlear implants, as well as ongoing auditory monitoring and outcome tracking. The role involves providing post-implant rehabilitation support, collaborating with speech-language pathologists and other clinicians, and educating patients and caregivers on device use and maintenance. The Audiologist will maintain accurate clinical records, follow clinic protocols and ethical guidelines, and participate in case discussions, awareness programs, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Audiology or Speech and Hearing from a recognized institution, with relevant registration or licensure as required in India.
  • Hands-on experience with cochlear implant candidacy assessment, device selection, counseling, activation, and mapping is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of diagnostic audiology procedures (pure-tone audiometry, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, ABR/BERA, and related tests).
  • Ability to plan and support post-implant auditory rehabilitation in coordination with speech-language and therapy teams.
  • Strong patient counseling, caregiver education, and communication skills, with a compassionate, family-centered approach.
  • Comfort with electronic health records, clinical documentation, and basic computer tools needed for hybrid on-site and remote work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and handle a varied clinical caseload.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Dwarka and flexibly perform some responsibilities from home as needed.
  • Prior experience in cochlear implant programs, pediatric audiology, or implant centers is an advantage but motivated early-career professionals are also encouraged to apply.
