Roles and Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IBMi (AS/400) COBOL400 development.
- Experienced in Integrated Language Environment (ILE)
- Ability to create Sub-procedures, Subroutines and Service Programs.
- Knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU and Spool files
- Experienced in iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS)
- Proficiency in CL programming for system automation and job scheduling is a key requirement for the role.
- Strong skills in writing and optimizing embedded SQL code within COBOL programs for efficient data manipulation are essential.
- Effective problem-solving abilities, including the capability to analyse, troubleshoot, and efficiently resolve issues, are crucial for success in this position.
- Clear with concepts of PERFORM Loop, String handling, Table handling, File handling, Intrinsic Functions.
