Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced
Coating Inspector specializing in
3-Layer Polyethylene (3-LPE) coating for steel pipe manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in coating inspection processes, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards.
NACE certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify 3-LPE coating application on steel pipes during manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct surface preparation checks, coating thickness measurements, and holiday testing.
- Review and approve coating procedures and material certifications.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve coating-related issues.
- Monitor adherence to safety and environmental standards during coating operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification: NACE (Compulsory)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in steel pipe manufacturing and coating inspection.
- Expertise in 3-LPE coating process and related quality control methods.
- Familiarity with international coating standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of other coating systems (FBE, epoxy, etc.).
- Experience with coating equipment and inspection tools.
