Job Description
Settl X
Bank-grade Web3 compliance, automated by AI agents, controlled by you.
We're building agentic KYB/KYC/KYT that cuts false positives and accelerates compliant onboarding for Web2.5 companies. Our AI agents sit on top of your existing vendor stack (World-Check, Dow Jones, ComplyAdvantage, Notabene, and more), aggregate every signal, and resolve cases the way a real compliance team would — surfacing the patterns no single tool can see.
16x throughput. 40–60% fewer false positives. Audit-ready evidence packs in hours, not days.
The founding team is tech + product. We've spent 8+ years building systems at scale for fintechs and crypto companies — the infrastructure, the ML, and the products that move real volume. We've got the engine. What we're missing is the person who can sell it at scale with warm introductions.
That's the co-founder seat I'm looking to fill: a sales leader who owns revenue as a founder, not an early hire.
Who I'm looking for
You've already led with sales at a company like Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Fireblocks, ComplyAdvantage, Notabene, Sardine, or similar — as a:
- Head of Sales / VP Sales / Sales Lead who built and owned the pipeline into crypto, fintech, and FIs
- Sales Engineering / Solutions Engineering Lead who ran technical evals, POCs, and won the does it actually work conversation
- Solutions / Partnerships Lead who turned regulatory credibility into closed revenue
What you bring:
- A rolodex and reputation with exchanges, PSPs, NBFCs, banks, and the buyers who sign for compliance tooling
- Fluency in the frameworks that gate every deal — MiCA, VARA, UK FinProm, FIU, SEC/FCA, FATF Travel Rule
- A track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals (compliance + risk + eng + legal in the room)
- Comfort selling AI/agentic products and standing behind the technical claims in front of a skeptical CCO
- High agency, high ownership, low ego. You want to co-found and build the motion 0→1, not inherit one
What you'll own
- The entire sales motion, as a co-founder — ICP, pricing, playbook, and the first dollars of revenue
- Pipeline and closing from day one: outbound, POCs, and the early logos that set our reference story
- The technical sell — POC scoping, eval criteria, and the demos that turn interesting into signed
- Shaping the product roadmap alongside the founding team with real buyer and regulatory insight
- Being the voice customers and partners trust — the credibility that shortens every sales cycle
How this works
- We start with one week of hard brainstorming — no BS, no fluff. We pressure-test the fit, the thesis, the market, and each other.
- Interview steps are sales-focused. Show me how you think, how you sell, and how you'd build the motion. Walk me through a deal you closed and a deal you lost.
- Interested Send a short note on the deals you've run and the buyers you know — or just DM me. Straight to the point works best.
