Role Overview
We are seeking a Co-Founder & CTO to architect, build, and scaleGoIRL'stechnology platform from early launch to multi-city expansion and national growth. This is a zero-to-one build with long- termownership, requiring strong architectural judgment, capital-efficient execution, and founder-level thinking. The CTO will define the technology strategy, lead engineering execution, and prepare the platform for scale, investment, and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Architecture & System Evolution
- Define and own the long-term technology architecture ofGoIRL.
- Make foundational decisions on system design (monolith vs microservices, event-driven systems, data architecture, infrastrategy).
- Establish scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient infrastructure aligned with business growth.
- Define engineering principles, architectural standards, and system evolution strategy.
- Ensure platform reliability, observability, and performance at every growth stage.
- You are Accountable for:Scalability, Reliability, Security, Cost discipline, Technical debt management
2.Engineering Execution & Technical Leadership
- Lead engineering from hands-on coding inearly stagesto structured team leadership.
- Establish engineering standards, documentation, and code review culture.
- Build robust deployment and release processes.
- Create observability, performance monitoring, and incident management systems.
3. Strategic Product Alignment
- Technical Roadmap:Translate the business product vision into a high-level technical execution plan, prioritizing features based on resource constraints and market deadlines.
- Build vs. Buy Decisions:Evaluate third-party integrations vs. custom internal builds to maximize development speed without accumulating unmanageable technical debt.
- Security & Compliance:Establishbaseline security protocols, including encryption at rest/transit, IAM roles, and data privacy compliance (GDPR/SOC2) from the outset.
4. Leadership & Fundraising Support
- Technical Due Diligence:Prepare the technical stack, documentation, and infrastructure for investor scrutiny during the funding process; defend architectural choices to VC technical partners.
- Team Growth:Identifykey engineering gaps and lead the recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of the founding engineering team.
- Culture of Excellence:Establishengineering standards, documentation requirements, and a culture of ownership and rapid iteration.
