Role Summary
Ratan Industries Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC and VMC Machine Operator to join our precision machining and foundry unit in Agra. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) and vertical machining centers (VMC) to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines (3-axis or 4-axis) for tasks such as milling, drilling, and turning.
- Programming & Offsets: Load programs using Fanuc or Siemens controllers. Perform minor program edits and tool offsets to maintain tight tolerances.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, 2D/3D drawings, and GD&T symbols.
- Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Tooling & Maintenance: Select and install cutting tools (inserts, drills). Perform daily routine maintenance, including checking coolant levels and machine cleaning.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production reports (DPR) and quality logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in G-codes and M-codes

Material Handling: Experience working with cast iron, steel, or aluminum components

Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and technical errors on the shop floo
r.
Safety Adherence: Strict compliance with industrial safety protocols and use of PPE.
