Roles & Responsbilities

•Independently set up, prove, and operate CNC turn‑mill machines with C‑axis / Y‑axis (such as DMG CTX Beta, Doosan PUMA 2600 LSY, ACE Micromatic SJE10LM), live tooling, sub‑spindle (where applicable), including workholding, datum setting, and first‑article approval.

•Perform turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and mill‑turn operations in single or multi‑setup cycles; apply controlled tool and work offset adjustments and minor program edits to optimize cycle time, tool life, and surface finish.

•Select, preset, measure, and manage turning tools, driven tools, tool holders, and offsets; ensure proper tool orientation and balance for live‑tooling operations.

•Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, perform in‑process and final inspection using shop‑floor measuring instruments, and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

•Create and update setup sheets, tool lists, and process documentation; support process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

•Perform routine preventive machine checks, monitor alarms, spindle load, lubrication, coolant, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure machine uptime and reliability.

•Guide and support junior operators, ensure effective shift handovers, and act as a technical lead for complex turn‑mill setups and machining issues.

•Ensure strict adherence to machine safety, live‑tooling safety, chucking safety, PPE, and internal quality systems.

•Collaborate with programming teams using SOLIDCAM for 5‑axis machining and process optimization.
