POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC & VMC machines (Turning, Milling with 4th axis) to produce parts as per drawing specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.(GD&T knowledge)
- Create and modify CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam is added advantage)
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
- Perform quality checks using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore dials).
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to programs or setups.
- Maintain equipment and ensure machines are in good working condition.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC (Turning and Milling) operation and programming.
- Proficiency in G-code and CAM software.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and material properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CNC turning and VMC (4th axis)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and production planning.
