CNC Operator

Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC operator in the advertising industry/ Metal Industry uses computer numerical control machines to produce promotional materials and signage, such as 3D letters, exhibition stands, or advertising panels. Their work combines technical knowledge with practical skills to transform digital designs into high-quality physical products.

Main Responsibilities:

• Material Preparation: Selecting and preparing necessary materials, such as acrylic, plastic (Forex, PVC), Dibond, wood, MDF, rigid foam, or aluminum, depending on the project.

• Machine Operation: Setting up and operating CNC machines, such as routers or lasers, to precisely cut, mill, or engrave materials.

• Interpretation of Technical Drawings: Reading and understanding technical plans and digital files (DXF, AI, etc.) created by designers to input them into the machine's software.

• Equipment Maintenance: Performing basic maintenance on machines, checking tools, and ensuring equipment is functioning optimally.

• Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet the specifications for size, shape, and finish.

Required Skills:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding the operating principles of CNC machines and the materials used in advertising.

• Attention to Detail: High precision is essential for producing elements that conform to the design.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and correcting errors during the production process.

• Ability to Work with Specialized Software: Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs.

CNC Machines Used in Advertising:

• CNC Router: Versatile machines for cutting, milling, and engraving a wide range of non-metallic materials, frequently used for producing 3D letters and panels.

• CNC Laser: CO2 laser cutting and engraving machines, used especially for delicate materials like acrylic or wood.

• Cutting Plotter: Although not a traditional CNC machining tool, it is often used in the advertising industry for cutting adhesive films, stickers, and other thin materials.
