Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Milling & Turning Operators with 2 to 5 years of experience in operating CNC milling machines (3-axis/4-axis/5-axis). The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and ensuring precision machining of components as per engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling & Turning machines (Vertical/Horizontal Machining Centers).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Perform machine setup including fixture alignment, tool setting, and work offsets.
- Execute and monitor machining operations to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
- Make minor program edits and tool offset adjustments as required.
- Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
- Ensure proper selection and handling of cutting tools and inserts.
- Maintain optimal cutting parameters to improve productivity and tool life.
- Identify defects, troubleshoot machining issues, and take corrective actions.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to company quality standards.
- Record production data and inspection reports accurately.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Milling & Turning operations.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
- Good knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing shop floor environment.
- Rotational shifts may be required.
- Prolonged standing and machine handling.
- Familiarity with controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas etc.
- Knowledge of fixture setup and precision alignment.
- Understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
