Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior WordPress / CMS Developer to join our international engineering team.

This role involves building dynamic, scalable, and high‑performance WordPress‑based solutions while contributing to broader CMS‑driven digital projects across industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • WordPress Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain websites and applications using WordPress CMS (custom themes, custom plugins, Gutenberg blocks).
  • Extend core functionalities through custom coding and reusable modules.
  • Optimize site performance, security, and scalability.
  • CMS Expertise
  • Work with multiple CMS platforms (WordPress primary; Drupal/Joomla optional as add‑on skills).
  • Build custom templates, reusable components, and flexible content models.
  • Front‑End Engineering
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to implement modern, responsive interfaces.
  • Write clean, structured HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React/Vue‑based interactive features (nice-to-have).
  • Integrations & Migrations
  • Integrate APIs, third‑party tools, payment gateways, CRMs, and external services.
  • Perform CMS migrations, data imports/exports, and version upgrades.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Conduct functional, performance, and cross‑browser testing.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve site issues, including plugin/theme conflicts.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work with cross‑functional teams—design, QA, project management, backend.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Documentation
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for builds, configurations, and workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

Must‑Have

  • 4–7 years of professional experience in WordPress Development.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress architecture.
  • Experience developing custom themes, custom plugins, and REST API integrations.
  • Understanding of security, SEO, and accessibility standards.
  • Git version control proficiency.

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Experience with Drupal or other CMS platforms.
  • React, Vue.js, or Next.js exposure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, cloud hosting).
  • Experience working with distributed international teams.
