Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CMM Operator located in Metoda. The CMM Operator will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect and ensure product compliance with dimensional specifications. Daily responsibilities include conducting first article inspections, analyzing measurement results, maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment, and generating detailed inspection reports. The role also involves collaborating with the quality and production teams to address discrepancies and ensure product quality.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and using specialized CMM software (Carl Zeiss)
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in using precision measurement tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and address quality issues
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow strict quality standards
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
- A diploma or certification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field
- Prior experience in investment casting and/or manufacturing processes is a plus
