Job Description

Aditya Birla Renewables is an industry leader in clean energy solutions.

With over a decade of experience in executing large-scale and complex renewable energy projects across India, we are helping power the nation's transition towards a greener tomorrow.

Our solutions cover the gamut of renewable power from solar, wind, and hybrid power to battery storage. Our state-of-the-art technology, high uptime, and our ability to provide the most competitive tariffs are some USPs that set us apart in the industry.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated lead for SCADA to join our O & M Team. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable plant monitoring, control, and data acquisition across Solar and Wind operating assets. The role maintains SCADA system uptime, resolves communication and data issues, and coordinates with OEMs for timely troubleshooting to support daily O&M activities. The SCADA Lead also works closely with the CMAS team to ensure data integrity, accurate event capture, and consistency between SCADA and central monitoring systems. Overall, the role enables quick fault visibility, supports remote diagnostics, and strengthens operational decision-making to maximise asset availability and generation.

Job Context:

The SCADA Lead operates within the O&M function to ensure continuous monitoring and accurate data flow from Solar and Wind assets to support real-time operational decisions. The role requires close coordination with OEMs, site teams, and the CMAS team to maintain SCADA availability and uphold data integrity across all monitoring layers. As the central point for SCADA-related operational issues, the role must balance system reliability, regulatory compliance, and fast turnaround for fault visibility.

Data Integrity & Alignment with CMAS

  • Conduct daily/weekly data validation between SCADA and CMAS platforms and resolve mismatches.
  • Work with the CMAS team to improve event mapping, alarm categorisation, and timestamp synchronisation.
  • Track and eliminate recurring data gaps, erroneous signals, or misconfigured tags.
  • Ensure accurate data availability for O&M KPIs, reporting, analytics, and regulatory submissions.

Alarm Management & Operational Support

  • Ensure alarms and events are correctly mapped, prioritised, and escalated for timely site action.
  • Support site O&M teams with remote diagnostics and quick interpretation of SCADA alarms.
  • Coordinate with OEMs to fix incorrect alarm logics, missing events, or false triggers.
  • Provide inputs to O&M for reducing machine downtime and improving generation through better alarm visibility.

Compliance & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with RLDC/SLDC requirements (metering data, telemetry, FG/DSM visibility).
  • Coordinate with internal O&M, performance, IT, and cyber-security teams for SCADA-related dependencies.
  • Follow change management protocols for any SCADA/communication modification or interface upgrade.
