We are hiring the first finance person to sit inside Protein World's new Gurgaon headquarters.

This is a founding seat. The desk does not exist yet. The office is being built around it.

About us

Protein World is a founder-led group operating across the World - nutrition, pharma, real estate. We think in centuries and act in weeks. We are not a corporate, and we are not trying to become one.

The first ninety days

Two things, from day one.

The HQ build. We are fitting out our new headquarters in Udyog Vihar. You will own the cost engineering end to end - vendors, BOQ, variance, payments, material sourcing. The building is being made carefully. The numbers behind it need to be made just as carefully. Hands-on, on-site, real. You will know the names of the contractors and the prices of the stone.

Protein World unit economics. SKU-level P&L, marketplace and D2C reconciliation, COGS modelling, pricing across nutrition and pharma. The kind of work where a single number, found in the right week, changes the trajectory of a product line.

From there the seat expands across the group - costing, management accounts, MIS, and the orchestration of our outsourced CA, GST, and payroll stack.

Who we are looking for

Someone who notices things. Numbers, vendors, materials, people — the small mismatches that most people walk past. The job is half technical and half perceptual, and the perceptual half is the one that compounds.

Someone who is unusually good with people. Half the actual work is human — vendors, contractors, marketplace teams, our CA firm, our banks. You will be trusted with a lot quickly. The seat sits between many rooms.

Someone who does more with less. Lean teams, lean tools, lean processes. Bloat is the enemy of clarity, and clarity is what we are trying to build.

Someone of high character. You will see everything. Trust is the currency, and there is no version of this seat where it is not.

If you have spent your career feeling like the finance role you were doing was too narrow for the way you actually see — too much process, not enough ground truth, not enough room for the part of you that reads situations as well as spreadsheets — we should talk.

On paper

CMA (qualified, or Inter with strong B.Com)

3–5 years hands-on finance experience — promoter-led group, manufacturing, or D2C brand preferred

End-to-end ownership in a previous role (five hats, not one)

Strong on costing, BOMs, and unit economics — not just bookkeeping

Tally, advanced Excel/Sheets, comfort with Shopify, Razorpay, and marketplace dashboards

Multi-entity comfort

Travel across India and the UK comes with the seat
