CMA Finance Manager - Protein World

Gurgaon | Full-time, in-office | ₹13–18L

We're hiring our first finance lead for Protein World, based at our Gurgaon office in Udyog Vihar.

This is a founding seat. You'll be one of the first people on the ground as we build the team and the headquarters from the ground up.

Protein World is a multi-vertical operating company with operations worldwide.

We're founder-led and building for the long term. We're not a corporate. We think in centuries and act in weeks.

Your first 90 days

You'll be deep in two things from day one:

1. The Gurgaon HQ build. We're fitting out our new headquarters. You'll own the cost engineering end-to-end — vendors, BOQ tracking, variance analysis, payment release, sourcing decisions on materials. Hands-on, on-site, real.

2. Protein World unit economics. SKU-level P&L, marketplace and D2C reconciliation, COGS modelling, pricing decisions across our nutrition and pharma product lines.

From there, the seat expands across the rest of the group — costing, management accounts, MIS, and orchestration of our outsourced CA, GST, and payroll stack.

Who you are

• This is a high-charge seat for a high-charge person. We're not looking for someone to clock a 9-to-5 in a process role. We're looking for someone who wants to build a finance function from scratch alongside the MD.
• You're extremely good with people. Half the job is managing humans — vendors, contractors, marketplace teams, our CA firm, banks.
• You do more with less. You like lean teams, lean tools, lean processes. Bloat is the enemy.
• You like to travel. We have operations across India and the UK. Site visits and occasional international travel come with the seat.
• You have high character. You'll see everything. Trust is the currency.

On paper

• CMA (qualified or Inter + strong B.Com), or equivalent
• 3–5 years hands-on finance experience — ideally at a promoter-led group, manufacturing company, or D2C brand
• End-to-end ownership in your previous role (you've worn five hats, not one)
• Strong on costing, BOMs, and unit economics — not just bookkeeping
• Tally fluency, advanced Excel/Sheets, comfort with Shopify/Razorpay/marketplace dashboards
• Multi-entity comfort
