Regional Manager - Growth & Operations - Mumbai/Pune

Location: Mumbai/Pune  |  Team size: 30–40 sales associates and team leads

Experience: 5–8 years

Role Overview

As Cluster Lead, you will own end-to-end business delivery across our partner hospitals in the Mumbai/Pune cluster - managing 15 - 20 hospitals and leading a team of 30 - 40 sales associates. This is a P&L role: you will own growth, contribution margin, and patient penetration for the cluster, while building deep relationships with senior hospital leadership (COOs, Heads of Billing, Insurance, and Operations).

The role blends strategic ownership with on-ground execution. You will spend a significant share of your time inside hospitals - coaching associates, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks, and meeting hospital leadership. The remainder is structured reviews, planning, and cross-functional work with central teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Growth Ownership

•    Own the cluster P&L - growth targets, contribution margin, and patient penetration.

•    Use data to identify the highest-leverage growth opportunities (which hospitals, which departments, which patient cohorts) and reallocate team effort accordingly.

•    Run weekly business reviews with associates and team leads; escalate blockers fast.

Stakeholder Management

•    Build and maintain relationships with COOs, Heads of Insurance, Billing, and Operations across all partner hospitals in the cluster.

•    Position Aldun as a strategic partner - not a vendor. Lead expansion conversations, resolve escalations, and represent Aldun in QBRs and joint planning sessions.

•    Be the single point of accountability for hospital leadership across the cluster.

Execution & Operations

•    Ensure smooth, consistent service delivery across every hospital in the cluster.

•    Oversee billing, disbursals, and process compliance; drive 100% adherence through process and team-level interventions.

•    Partner with central operations, finance, and product teams to fix systemic issues - don't just patch them.

Team Leadership & Development

•    Lead, coach, and grow a 30-40 person team of sales associates across hospitals.

•    Build a performance-driven culture - structured reviews, clear incentives, recognition, and consequence management.

•    Own hiring, onboarding, and retention for the cluster. Build a bench of high-performers ready for team-lead roles.

Ideal Candidate ProfileMust-haves

•    5-8 years of experience in P&L ownership, business growth, regional sales leadership, or large-scale field operations.

•    Proven experience leading teams of 25+ across multiple locations — not just managing a centralised team.

•    Direct stakeholder management at CXO/COO level - you should be comfortable walking into a hospital COO's office and steering the conversation.

•    Strong analytical instincts - you use data to make resource-allocation decisions, not just to report after the fact.

Strongly preferred

•    Background in healthcare sales, hospital operations or hospital-facing B2B2C businesses.

•    Experience hiring, training, and managing front-line sales or operations teams from non-traditional backgrounds.

•    Strong candidates from e-commerce, FMCG distribution, consumer services, or fintech field operations - especially those who have led large distributed field teams and are excited to operate inside hospitals.
