Job Description

Read this bit first:

We're not looking for someone to sit in an office, open a sales dashboard at 10 AM and ask, Why are we down this week We're looking for the person who goes to the store, figures out why, fixes it, and makes sure it doesn't happen again.

Uni Seoul is scaling fast — new cities, new stores, new teams, new challenges. And our Cluster/Area Managers are right in the middle of it.

You'll own a cluster of stores like they're your mini businesses — sales, people, operations, inventory, customer experience and everything in between.

The business we're building:

At Uni Seoul, we transform everyday life with Korean-inspired design, cuteness, and functionality. From plush toys to stationery, and fashion accessories, our brand brings vibrant, Seoul-inspired experiences to a young, trend-focused audience. We're building a new kind of everyday retail — and we're scaling it across India.

That means the operating playbook is still being written. You won't just be following the system. You'll help build it.

The job, honestly:

  • Your stores are your business.
  • You'll be responsible for what happens before opening, during peak hours, after closing and everything in between.
  • Some days you'll be looking at regional numbers.
  • Some days you'll be on the floor fixing execution.
  • Some days you'll be hiring an SM.
  • Some days you'll be dealing with a stock issue that absolutely cannot wait until tomorrow.
  • And some days you'll be asking: Why are we doing this this way

That's the job.

What you'll own:

The Business

  • Own sales, productivity and commercial performance across the North cluster.
  • Break down store performance — footfall, conversion, ATV, UPT, margins and productivity — and turn numbers into action.
  • Identify what's holding a store back and build a plan to move it.
  • Push stores beyond simply hitting targets — build businesses that are healthy and scalable.

The Operations

  • Own day-to-day operational excellence across stores.
  • Keep inventory, replenishment, shrinkage, audits, VM, hygiene and SOP execution tight.
  • Spot operational gaps before they become business problems.
  • Build simple, scalable processes that actually work on the shop floor.
  • Handle escalations, crises and those this needs to be fixed right now moments.

The People

  • Build, coach and challenge Store Managers to become stronger business owners.
  • Create teams that know their numbers, understand their customers and take ownership.
  • Identify future leaders and build the next layer of talent.
  • Deal with performance issues early — not after they become resignation letters.
  • Build a culture where high standards and high energy can coexist.

The Customer

  • Every Uni Seoul store should feel unmistakably Uni Seoul.
  • You'll own the consistency — from how the store looks, to how the team sells, to how the customer walks out feeling.
  • A good store sells products. A great store makes people want to come back.

The Expansion

  • We're opening new stores and entering new markets.
  • You'll be involved in making those stores work — from team readiness and operational setup to launch execution and getting the business on track.

You'll probably enjoy this if...

  • You've spent 8+ years in retail operations and still like being on the shop floor.
  • You naturally think in numbers + people + execution, not just one of the three.
  • You can look at a P&L and then walk into a store and figure out what's happening behind it.
  • You're comfortable challenging Store Managers — and coaching them at the same time.
  • You don't need everything to be perfectly structured before you start moving.
  • You can make decisions with imperfect information and take accountability for them.
  • You notice the little things — messy fixtures, poor replenishment, weak selling behaviour, unhappy teams — before they become big things.
  • You like building things, not just maintaining them.

Why Uni Seoul

  • Your cluster isn't just a set of stores on a dashboard. It's a business you're expected to grow.
  • We're scaling quickly, which means you'll actually see your decisions turn into reality.
  • You won't need five meetings to get an idea moving.
  • Our stores, teams and processes are growing with us — and you'll have a real say in how they evolve.
  • We're building a national retail network. The opportunity grows as the business grows.

One last thing..

We're not hiring someone to manage stores.

We're hiring someone who can build better stores, better teams and a better business.

If that sounds like your kind of retail, let's talk.
