Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cluster Head role based in Coimbatore. The Cluster Head will oversee a group of branches or units, ensuring achievement of business targets across loan and related financial products while maintaining portfolio quality and compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role involves planning and executing cluster-level business strategies, monitoring branch performance, driving customer acquisition and retention, and supporting the rollout of new products and digital initiatives. The Cluster Head will lead, coach, and mentor branch managers and field teams, conducting regular reviews, field visits, and capability-building sessions. Responsibilities also include managing risk, resolving escalated customer issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and preparing periodic reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail lending, microfinance, or banking operations, preferably in branch or cluster leadership roles.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including team management, performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Sound understanding of loan products, credit evaluation, portfolio management, and risk and compliance practices.
  • Ability to drive business development, build local market relationships, and implement sales and outreach plans.
  • Comfort with digital tools, MIS reporting, and data-driven decision-making to track performance and improve processes.
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Graduate degree in any discipline; a postgraduate degree or specialization in finance, business, or rural management is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the cluster and work on-site with field teams and local communities.
