Job Purpose:The job purpose of a Shift Engineer - Cluster - Wet Chemistry in cell process is to oversee and optimize the wet chemistry processes involved in preparing silicon wafers for solar cell manufacturing. This role focuses on ensuring precise chemical handling, process efficiency, adherence to safety standards, and quality control measures, essential for producing high-performance solar cells with optimal efficiency and reliability. This role involves ensuring precise control over silicon removal and cleaning parameters, maintaining parameters uniformity, troubleshooting technical issues, work on completion of already defined DOEs on reflection, silicon removal, BOM (additives and process chemicals) and report compilation.

Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance :

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and training to maintain a safe work environment. Proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance with safety regulations.

Process Oversight

  • Supervise wet chemistry processes to prepare silicon wafers for solar cell manufacturing, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production schedules.

Chemical Management

  • Handle and manage chemicals used in wet chemistry processes, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Process Optimization

  • Optimize chemical concentrations, temperatures, and immersion times to achieve desired surface properties and cleanliness of silicon wafers.

Quality Control

  • Conduct inspections to verify the effectiveness of wet chemistry processes in preparing silicon wafers, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and surface quality.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, process parameters, quality inspections, and safety procedures. Generate reports to track process performance and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

  • Min 2 - 5 years of experience in wet chemistry Process activities, including chemical handling, batch processing, and process optimization.
