The Opportunity
We are seeking a Director / Senior Director of Engineering to lead our product engineering teams through the next phase of growth. You will own the technical execution and engineering excellence across our major product portfolio from our current platforms such as Lens, Tuner and Commit to our emerging Kubernetes FinOps solution and AI infused optimization tools.
What You'll Own
CloudKeeper Platform Suite - Key Platforms
Lens - Visibility & Governance Platform
- Lead development of our flagship cloud cost management platform Lens and own the billing engine, FinOps operations, cost analytics, and multi-cloud integration layers
- Scale architecture to handle increasing data volumes across MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Redis
LensCA
- Cost Allocations Engine, LensGPT - Gen AI for FinOps
- Cost allocation decision engine that assigns cloud spend using evidence, confidence, and cost-weighted reasoning, not just tags or static rules
- Agentic AI FinOps product that provides real-time cloud cost insights and optimization actions through natural conversation
Tuner
- Usage Optimization Engine
- Drive evolution of our AI-powered recommendation engine using Drools rules engine
- Expand optimization coverage across AWS, Azure, and GCP workloads
- Integrate machine learning capabilities for predictive cost optimization
Kubernetes Optimization Platform
- Accelerate development of our Kubernetes-native cost management solution
- Build pod/node level cost attribution and optimization for EKS, AKS, GKE, and on-prem Kubernetes deployments
- Position CloudKeeper as the definitive multi-cloud Kubernetes Optimization platform
Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and scale a 50-person engineering organization, growing 40% YoY across multiple product teams
- Own and drive engineering vision, roadmap, and execution cadence aligned with business objectives
- Own engineering delivery across productspredictable releases, high quality, minimal incidents
- Build and develop engineering managers and tech leads; create clear career progression paths
- Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Technical Strategy
- Define and evolve system architecture to support 10x growth in data processing and customers
- Scale data infrastructureSnowflake analytics, real-time event processing, caching layers
- Drive modernization initiatives, establish technical standards, code review practices, and architectural decision processes
Role Requirements
Experience :
- 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading engineering organizations of at least 30+ people
- Proven track record building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms
- Deep experience with Java/Spring Boot microservices architectures at scale
- Hands-on background with cloud platforms (AWS required; Azure/GCP strongly preferred)
- Experience with data-intensive applicationsanalytics platforms, data warehouses, real-time processing
Technical Depth
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API design
- Experience with modern frontend stacks (React/TypeScript) and full-stack delivery
- Familiarity with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or billing/financial systems is a significant plus
- Knowledge of Kubernetes operations and cost management highly valued
Leadership
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing engineering teams and develop engineering leaders
- Experience managing multiple product teams with different technology stacks
- Track record of improving engineering processes, quality, and delivery predictability
- Strong communicator who can influence across functions and levels
