Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Support:
- Provide technical support for our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services.
- Kubernetes Administration:
- Manage and administer Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Work closely with development teams to deploy applications on Kubernetes and ensure seamless operation.
- Linux System Administration:
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems to support the overall infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices and perform regular system updates and patches.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact the production environment.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles for common issues and resolutions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide timely and clear communication to stakeholders regarding system status, outages, and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Cloud Support or DevOps role, with a focus on Kubernetes and Linux administration.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in container orchestration with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Knowledge of other containerization technologies (Docker, OpenShift, etc.).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
