Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Support:
    • Provide technical support for our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services.
  • Kubernetes Administration:
    • Manage and administer Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
    • Work closely with development teams to deploy applications on Kubernetes and ensure seamless operation.
  • Linux System Administration:
    • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems to support the overall infrastructure.
    • Implement security best practices and perform regular system updates and patches.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
    • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact the production environment.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles for common issues and resolutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Provide timely and clear communication to stakeholders regarding system status, outages, and resolutions.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Cloud Support or DevOps role, with a focus on Kubernetes and Linux administration.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in container orchestration with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Knowledge of other containerization technologies (Docker, OpenShift, etc.).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
