About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Cloud Solutions Architect to join our growing engineering organization. In this key role, you will design, implement, and evolve Sureify's next-generation cloud-based compute platform that powers digitally delivered life insurance experiences. You will balance strategic business objectives with technical excellence considering scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, delivery, DevOps, and data to architect secure, scalable, and automated solutions on AWS. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the architecture, infrastructure, and operational maturity of a rapidly growing enterprise software company.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, VPC, and Redshift, provisioned through Terraform.
- Collaborate with product, delivery, and data teams to align platform architecture with business and operational needs.
- Define architecture patterns that support growth, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
CI/CD & Automation
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, ArgoCD, and Helm to automate deployment, updates, and scaling.
- Drive best practices for containerization and orchestration, ensuring high availability, efficient resource utilization, and fast delivery cycles.
Security & Compliance
- Establish and enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, encryption, and container security.
- Integrate security controls and policies into all stages of the development and deployment lifecycle.
Monitoring & Observability
- Design and implement robust observability frameworks using CloudWatch, New Relic, and related tools for end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to ensure proactive detection of performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability across environments.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify, prioritize, and maintain a quarterly roadmap focused on cost optimization, process improvement, and security enhancements.
- Document and maintain detailed architectural designs, integrations, deployment procedures, and configuration standards.
- Mentor DevOps engineers and collaborate to ensure consistent adoption of best practices across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, SES, SQS, ElastiCache, Redshift, and EFS.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in Kubernetes.
- Solid programming and scripting skills in Groovy, Python, and Bash.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, and ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Deep understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, encryption, and key management.
- Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Prometheus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- Experience designing hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
- Exposure to cost governance and FinOps practices
