About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team. This role combines deep technical expertise, solution architecture, presales consulting, and customer engagement to help organizations successfully adopt and transform their businesses using OCI.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, product engineering, and partners to design, demonstrate, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions. You will lead architecture discussions, proof-of-concept initiatives, workload sizing exercises, and strategic cloud transformation projects across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Strategy & Architecture
- Partner with customers to understand business objectives, challenges, and success criteria.
- Design solution architectures that align technology capabilities with customer business outcomes.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and effective cloud solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and strategic recommendations throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Support customers in adopting modern cloud technologies and application architectures.
Customer Engagement & Trusted Advisory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and executive sponsors.
- Lead discovery workshops, solution reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on cloud adoption, modernization, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Support customers throughout their journey, from initial engagement through successful adoption and value realization.
Presales & Solution Consulting
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical expertise during customer engagements.
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and executive briefings that clearly communicate solution value and business benefits.
- Contribute to proposals, statements of work, solution recommendations, and technical assessments.
- Develop reusable assets including solution playbooks, best practices, customer success stories, whitepapers, and thought leadership content.
Proof of Concept (PoC) Leadership
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate solution approaches and demonstrate business value.
- Define success criteria, evaluation frameworks, and measurable outcomes for customer engagements.
- Collaborate with customers to refine requirements and ensure successful execution of pilot and validation activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Adoption & Optimization
- Assess customer environments, business processes, and technology strategies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to enhance solution effectiveness, scalability, governance, and operational efficiency.
- Guide customers on best practices for cloud adoption, solution optimization, and ongoing innovation.
- Help customers maximize the value and impact of their technology investments.
Security, Governance & Best Practices
- Promote secure-by-design principles and governance best practices across customer solutions.
- Advise customers on risk management, compliance considerations, and responsible technology adoption.
- Support the development of governance frameworks that enable scalable and sustainable cloud adoption.
- Ensure recommended solutions align with organizational standards and business requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, product management, customer success, and partner organizations.
- Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Identify customer trends, requirements, and opportunities to influence product strategy and future enhancements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments to provide informed recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions for enterprise customers.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and modern architecture principles.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.
- Understanding of cloud-native technologies, application modernization, and distributed systems.
- Strong customer-facing, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading workshops, solution reviews, technical presentations, and customer engagements.
- Familiarity with automation, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer-facing consulting, solution architecture, technical advisory, or presales roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud adoption frameworks, digital transformation, and modernization strategies.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions using containers, Kubernetes, and modern application architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
- Experience supporting cloud migration, modernization, and transformation programs.
- Understanding of enterprise applications, data platforms, integration patterns, and API-led architectures.
- Experience engaging with large enterprise customers and strategic accounts, including executive and technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications in cloud platforms, solution architecture, or related technologies.
