We are hiring for a design and development client for a Cloud Solution Architect – Windows Server & Virtualization with 13+ years in enterprise or government IT environments, specializing in Windows Server, Virtualization, and Azure. This role combines architecture, consulting, advanced troubleshooting, and customer enablement to help organizations modernize and optimize their hybrid infrastructure.
Location: Mumbai
Travel Requirement: Up to 70%

Key Responsibilities
- Windows Failover Clustering & Virtualization
- Design, migrate, and troubleshoot clusters and Hyper‑V environments.
- Implement disaster recovery solutions with Hyper‑V Replica and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
- Platform & Performance Troubleshooting
- Resolve OS lifecycle and upgrade issues.
- Diagnose CPU, memory, disk, and networking bottlenecks.
- Conduct deep‑dive analysis of VM crashes, cluster instability, and file‑system anomalies.
- Critical Incident & RCA Leadership
- Own RCA processes, from log collection to corrective actions.
- Deliver clear RCA reports for high‑severity incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and customers during escalations.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage Windows Defender, Firewall, BitLocker, Device Guard, and Credential Guard.
- Support audits and compliance reviews with documentation and remediation strategies.
- Storage & High Availability
- Architect and support S2D clusters with resiliency planning.
- Advise on storage firmware, architecture, and operational best practices.
- Enablement & Knowledge Sharing
- Conduct workshops on Hyper‑V, clustering, performance tuning, and observability.
- Mentor engineers and share insights on Windows Server 2025 and emerging technologies.
- Leadership
- Act as technical authority for Windows Server and hybrid infrastructure.
- Guide architecture discussions and propose delivery roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead RCA reviews.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012 R2 – 2025)
- Windows Performance & Advanced Troubleshooting
- Windows Failover Clustering, Hyper‑V, Virtualization (VMWare migrations, Azure Stack HCI, Azure VMs)
- Azure Infrastructure (Arc, Monitor, Backup, Site Recovery, Defender for Cloud, hybrid scenarios)
- Windows Security (Defender, Firewall, BitLocker, Credential Guard, Device Guard)
- Systems Center Virtual Machine Manager
Qualifications
- Education: MSc / BE / BA / BS in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications: Windows Hybrid and Azure certifications preferred
- Proven experience in mission‑critical, enterprise‑scale environments
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lead workshops, mentor teams, and handle high‑pressure incidents
