Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Project Manager with experience in managing cloud-based projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment. The role requires a balance of strong project management capabilities and a solid understanding of cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of cloud projects
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and track progress against milestones
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular status updates
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution
Technical Responsibilities:
- Oversee cloud-based implementations across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to understand technical requirements and constraints
- Support cloud migration, deployment, and infrastructure-related projects
- Ensure adherence to cloud best practices, security standards, and governance policies
- Monitor overall solution quality and ensure alignment with architectural guidelines
- Possess a working understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Project Management Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or similar
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience or strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, deployment models, and services
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
- Basic understanding of cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization principles
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Experience in cloud migration or large-scale transformation projects
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
