Job Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Data Analyst with 7+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Tableau, Azure, Snowflake, Airflow, Python, and ETL/data pipelines.

The role involves managing and validating cloud financial and billing data, performing data analysis and reconciliation, developing Tableau reports, and supporting end-to-end data pipelines. The candidate should understand how data flows from source systems through ETL pipelines and Snowflake into reporting platforms and should be capable of troubleshooting data and pipeline issues independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process large-scale Azure cloud billing and financial datasets.
• Perform ETL, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Use Azure Cost Management to validate cloud costs and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve mismatched cost centers and data inconsistencies.
• Develop complex SQL queries, tables, views, and ad-hoc reports.
• Work extensively with Snowflake for data querying and validation.
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for leadership and business stakeholders.
• Work with Airflow for data pipeline orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Use Python for data processing, transformation, automation, and pipeline-related activities.
• Understand and troubleshoot the complete data flow from source to reporting layer.
• Perform root-cause analysis for data, ETL, and pipeline issues.
• Work closely with Cloud, Data Engineering, Finance, and Business teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure reports and datasets are accurate before presenting them to leadership.
• Apply knowledge of cloud economics and Azure cost management to analyze cloud-related financial issues.
• Maintain Excel-based reports and perform additional data analysis as required.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong hands-on SQL

• Hands-on Azure, preferably Azure Cost Management
• Hands-on Snowflake
• Hands-on Apache Airflow
• Practical Python experience
• Strong understanding of ETL and data pipelines
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of end-to-end data flow and backend pipeline architecture

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have a combination of Data Analytics + Cloud + Data Engineering exposure. Candidates who are only reporting/visualization focused or only backend data engineering focused may not be suitable.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to data accuracy, and the ability to independently investigate and resolve data issues are essential.

AI Usage: Strict screening will be followed regarding the use of AI-based assistance. Candidates must demonstrate genuine hands-on expertise and independent capability in SQL, Python, Tableau, data pipelines, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving. AI-based tools should not be a substitute for core technical knowledge or execution.

• Confirmed Last Working Day (LWD) is mandatory.
• Candidates must be comfortable working from the office 2–3 days per week.
• Candidates must be comfortable with the 2 PM–11 PM IST shift.
