Cloud Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, deployment, and management of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) network services, including:
• VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, load balancers, Cloud DNS, and Cloud VPN.
• Implement and maintain network security configurations in GCP, following best practices and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to automating network provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
• Monitor GCP network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize network connectivity and performance for cloud-based applications.
• Support integration of on-premises networks with GCP using VPNs or interconnect solutions.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to maintain network security and access control.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate network tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
• Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols including:
• uting, switching, VLANs, etc.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for network automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and services.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
