Job Description

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will build and maintain automated delivery pipelines, GCP cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling. Working at the intersection of development and operations on Google Cloud Platform, you will enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery using GCP-native DevOps services. This role suits engineers passionate about automation, GCP-native tooling, GKE operations, and Cloud Run deployments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GCP Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy.
Manage and optimize GKE clusters and containerized application deployments on GCP.
Write and maintain Terraform modules for GCP infrastructure provisioning.
Implement Docker-based build processes and manage container images in GCP Artifact Registry.
Integrate Binary Authorization, Container Analysis, and security gates into GCP delivery pipelines.
Monitor application and infrastructure health using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Grafana.
Manage secrets and credentials using GCP Secret Manager and Workload Identity.
Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Cloud Deploy for GCP deployment automation.
Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting.
Support hybrid pipeline workloads delivering to both GCP and on-prem environments.
Support on-call rotations and participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis.
Maintain documentation for GCP pipelines, runbooks, and operational procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS (GCP MANDATORY)

6+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience with GCP as primary cloud - mandatory.
Hands-on experience with GCP DevOps tools: Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Artifact Registry.
Strong GKE experience including deployments, services, Helm charts, and Workload Identity.
Experience with Cloud Run for serverless workload deployments.
Proficiency in Terraform for GCP infrastructure provisioning.
Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
Understanding of GitOps principles and GCP Cloud Deploy strategies.
Familiarity with GCP Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and log-based alerting.
Basic knowledge of GCP networking, IAM, and firewall rules.
Experience supporting hybrid CI/CD pipelines with on-prem integration.

PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE (AWS / AZURE CONSIDERED)

Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer certification.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or CKAD.
Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions as additional CI tools (nice to have).
AWS or Azure DevOps exposure (nice to have).
