Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing cloud solutions, optimizing performance and costs, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support modern cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage cost efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments.
- Configure and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide technical support.
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers, DNS, firewalls).
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Exposure to serverless architectures and microservices.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
